I c...As Dr. Reymond aptly described in his book...<br /><br />I concur with Packer and affirm that I believe in the existence of the Christian God<br />because I am a Christian by the grace of God and because of the incontrovertible<br />evidence which the Christian faith entails, grounded as that faith is in the truthfulness<br />and history of the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments. In sum, mine is a<br />Christian commitment and an apologetic attempting to be based upon the Bible alone.<br />And let no one—certainly no Christian, especially no Reformed Christian committed to<br />the Westminster standards—brand such a faith commitment as simply sheer “fideism,”<br />that is, a faith founded on nothing, for my faith as a Christian in the Christian God and<br />the self-attesting Christ of the New Testament is the result of the regenerating work of<br />the Spirit of God which he wrought in my heart by and with the objective, revealed truth<br />of the self-evidencing, self-validating Word of God.carlonoreply@blogger.com
